Job Summary

What the Role Is

Super Star Car Wash is seeking a highly organized detail-oriented and knowledgeable Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll processing. This role is responsible for managing weekly payroll for 1200 employees in AZ CA CO and TX ensuring accuracy compliance and excellent employee experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to process improvement compliance and cross-functional collaboration. We are also seeking experience with CA based employees and ADP Workforce Now so please include any experience on your resume.

What Youll Be Doing

Lead coach and collaborate with a payroll specialist to ensure timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll.
Review and approve payroll data including hours worked bonuses commissions deductions and wage garnishments.
Ensure ongoing compliance with federal state and local payroll laws and tax regulations including those specific to California.
Manage off-cycle payments and special check requests with urgency and accuracy.
Reconcile payroll reports and audit payroll data for accuracy and alignment with company policies.
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll processes and systems including ADP Workforce Now.
Prepare and submit payroll-related reports for internal stakeholders and external agencies.
Support payroll-related audits and year-end activities (e.g. W-2 distribution tax filings)

What Were Looking For

Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of payroll experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred
Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and tax regulations including California. is required.
Familiarity with compliance requirements related to total rewards (e.g. ACA 5500 filings wage and hour laws).
Excellent attention to detail accuracy and discretion in handling confidential information.
Strong interpersonal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
