Nestled in Parramatta Parks lush surrounds Parramatta Aquatic Centre (the PAC) is a new fitness wellness and relaxation hub. Featuring three pools including an outdoor Olympic-sized centrepiece and indoor water playground as well as spa steam and sauna facilities fitness centre and public café the PAC is a community oasis to accompany Parramattas burgeoning CBD district.

About the role

Join us on Parramattas positive transformation journey being responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café including both customer service and kitchen functions.

The Café Supervisor will lead and manage the café team to ensure high standards of service food preparation hygiene and safety.

On a daily basis your main task will be:

  • Oversee daily café operations ensuring efficient friendly service and high-quality food and coffee preparation.
  • Manage staff rosters provide training and guidance and step in to cover shortages when needed.
  • Handle customer orders promptly and maintain teamwork through collaborative practices.
  • Monitor stock levels perform monthly stock takes and ensure proper rotation and maintenance of goods.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness hygiene and safety in compliance with NSW Health guidelines.
  • Perform payment transactions banking and oversee opening and closing procedures.

Aboutyou

The successful candidate should have strong leadership communication and organisational skills to supervise staff and maintain operational excellence.

The candidate will also need to be flexible to work across Monday to Sunday.

They will also bring:

  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Food Handling Certificate
  • Barista qualifications or skills and coffee knowledge
  • NSW Working with Children Check Clearance
  • Current National Police Check Clearance Experience
  • Experience coordinating and leading staff in a multitask operational environment.
  • At least 2 years experience as a Cafe Supervisor & Barista preferably in a in a busy café or customer focused environment.
  • At least 2 years previous food preparation and kitchen experience
  • Point-of-sale experience including payment handling and reconciliation.
  • Experience working independently and within a team environment.
  • Previous barista experience

This is a full time term contract for 6 months.

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $73 172.60 plus 12% superannuation.
