The Development Support Assistant will provide front desk coverage and administrative support to the Development team within University Advancement. This position plays a key role in maintaining an organized welcoming and efficient office environment while assisting with scheduling communications and team engagement efforts.
Duties:
1. Serve as a point of contact at the Development office by greeting visitors answering general questions and directing inquiries to appropriate staff.
2. Provide front desk and administrative support including managing mail and deliveries maintaining office supplies and keeping shared spaces organized and welcoming.
3. Assist with coordinating room reservations and preparing meeting spaces for Development and University Advancement staff with necessary technology and materials.
4. Monitor the Development teams shared inbox and phone line forwarding or responding to inquiries as appropriate and assist with website updates.
5. Contribute to internal communications by helping prepare donor birthday cards posting announcement on Microsoft Teams and assisting with donor fulfillment tasks when needed.
6. Support planning and execution of Development team bonding events including brainstorming ideas coordinating logistics and communicating details with staff.
7. Participate in professional development and special projects such as updating records in Ascend researching opportunities for engagement and assisting with office organization.

- Prior experience in a customer service office or administrative support role.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools including Excel Word Teams and Outlook.
- Experience assisting with event planning or coordination.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Interest in higher education communications or fundraising.
10-15 hours per week based on the student schedule
Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
On-campus position located in the ISU Foundation Suite in the Alumni Center.
