As the Manager you will play a vital part in driving solid cloud architecture andensurebest engineering practices across multiple engineering teams. You along with your globally dispersed teammates will collaborate to build micro-service basedsystems responsible for helping our customers share content and information.
You will work closely with our product leads engineering leads teamto build microserviceswith design and datamodelthatsetsSeismic up for the next ten years. This is an opportunity to work as a technical thought-leader and make a difference at a growing company.
Who you are:
- 9 years of experience in software development with a strong background in SaaS cloud hosted software.
- Proficiency in modern web development technologies including JavaScript React
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure) and containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of scalability performance optimization and security best practices in web applications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines automated testing and DevOps practices.
- Ruby on Rails experience is a nice to have
Leadership & Management Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience leading engineering teams managing projects and mentoring developers.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in sprint planning.
- Experience in performance management and career development for engineers.
- Effective cross-functional communication with product managers designers and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making
What youll be doing:
- Team Leadership and Management:Lead mentor and manage a team of engineers fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous learning. Provide performance feedback career development and technical guidance to team members.
- Technology and Architecture Development:Define and drive the AI and software technology and architectural directions ensuring alignment with business goals and product roadmaps.
- AI Platform Integration: Oversee the engineering of integrations between Seismics AI services and external systems including Microsoft Teams M365 Copilot SalesforceAgentforce and related enterprise platforms.
- AI Ecosystem: Track and adopt evolving protocols APIs and standards in the AI ecosystem ensuring that Seismicremainsinteroperable extensible andenterprise-ready.
- Technical Execution:Guidebackend and integration architecture ensuring the performance reliability and security of AI-driven services across multiple environments.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers data scientists engineers and design teams to deliver features that balance performance privacy and usability.
- Project Delivery: Own delivery pipelines from planning through production including code quality deployment readiness and observability of production systems.
- Metrics & Monitoring: Define and monitor KPIs for integration reliability data flow latency and system interoperability.
