About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Training Officer to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment flora fauna and Aboriginal heritage.
The Training Officer (Incident Management) is responsible for the delivery of accredited and non-accredited training programs aligned with the Australasian Inter-Service Incident Management System (AIIMS) structure including functional roles such as Incident Controller Operations Planning Logistics and Public Information. This role ensures high-quality facilitation of learning manages student assessments and oversees Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) processes to support workforce capability in fire and incident response.
About you
You are an experienced training professional with deep knowledge of the AIIMS framework and its application across incident management roles. You design and deliver engaging inclusive training that meets the diverse needs of adult learners using contemporary facilitation techniques. Youre skilled in managing assessments and RPL processes ensuring they are fair transparent and aligned with national standards. You bring excellent communication coaching and feedback skills along with a commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for empowering others through learning.
Essential requirements
Please note: This role requires the ability to travel to support training delivery in regional locations.
