RN OR Circulator (Full-Time)

JOB TITLE: RN OR Circulator (Full-Time 30 hours per week)

This role is a full-time 30 hour per week position (Monday-Friday) and is eligible for full-time benefits. Please note that the facility is typically closed one Friday each month.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The delivery of patient care through the framework of the nursing process (assessment diagnosis and patient outcome) in the preoperative interoperative and postoperative phase of the surgical patient.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Supervisor of Clinical Services

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse License
• Experience in the OR sterile technique and universal precautions.
• ASC experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS required
• Ability to achieve PALS & ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Experience in the Operating Room Endoscopy center or other critical care nursing environment preferred.
• CPR certification valid upon employment and Ability to achieve PALS & ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Graduate of approved school of Registered Nursing with current and valid licensure with Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing
• Knowledge of State Federal and Accrediting Body regulations and standards related to healthcare.
• Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
• Demonstrates proper aseptic technique.
• Demonstrates efficient turnover time.
• Demonstrates proper technique for obtaining blood products.
• Demonstrates proper patient identification verification per policy.
• Demonstrates proper surgical site identification and marking per policy.
• Anticipates surgeons needs during surgical procedure.
• Is aware of professional nursing standard and performs in accordance with them.
