Job Summary
As a Mid-Level Software Engineer youll work at the intersection of data analytics and backend systems helping define validate and scale the portfolio metrics that drive institutional reporting across Europe. Youll get hands-on with our core reporting infrastructure ensuring the numbers our clients see are clean accurate and explainable.
What youll do
- Validate and debug performance and portfolio metric logic using Go Python and PHP.
- Build tools scripts and test cases to ensure calculation consistency and catch issues early.
- Collaborate with product and senior engineers to model and expose financial metrics via APIs.
- Contribute to reporting infrastructure to ensure consistency scalability and maintainability.
- Support prototyping of new analytics such as ESG scoring SFDR disclosures and liquidity dashboards.
- Translate business requirements into clear reusable and tested backend logic.
- Abstract custom reporting logic into reusable components and configuration patterns.
- Improve code quality documentation and reliability across the reporting stack.
- Work closely with data engineers to enhance data quality reconciliation and traceability.
- Partner with client success and product teams to align outputs with institutional standards.
What were looking for
- 46 years of backend or data engineering experience ideally in fintech analytics or SaaS reporting.
- Strong skills in relational data modeling SQL performance tuning and Python scripting.
- Familiarity with financial metrics such as portfolio returns benchmarks and cash flows.
- Experience working with REST APIs JSON and OpenAPI specifications.
- Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms; bonus for experience with CDK or serverless architecture.
- Strong debugging skills and comfort tracing data through complex systems.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work across engineering product and client-facing teams.
- Keen interest in building expertise in financial reporting systems and scalable metrics delivery.
