About the Company:
Our client is an award-winning digital marketing agency with a strong international presence known for delivering high-value traffic across a wide range of global markets. They are currently seeking a proactive and solutions-driven DevOps & IT Team Leader to drive the growth and efficiency of their infrastructure and internal IT systems.
About the Role:
The DevOps Tech Lead will oversee a team of DevOps engineers and corporate IT professionals. This person will be responsible for the stability scalability automation and security of cloud infrastructure and IT systems while ensuring a high standard of delivery and team performance.
Location: Hybrid Malta / Sofia Bulgaria
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing DevOps and IT team
- Oversee day-to-day operations across different time zones
- Set clear objectives track progress and promote continuous improvement
- Ensure smooth operation of internal IT systems and support services
- Design implement and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP)
- Develop and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines
- Oversee container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes or similar tools
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Ansible or similar tools
- Monitor performance and automate system operations for stability and reliability
- Ensure security best practices are enforced across systems and deployments
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance deployment strategies and system resilience
- Support incident response efforts and lead post-mortem analyses
- Manage internal IT infrastructure including enterprise tools user access helpdesk and vendor relationships
Requirements:
- 4 years of experience in DevOps Cloud Engineering or related fields
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platform GCP
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions Jenkins GitLab CI/CD)
- Experience with scripting in Python Bash or Go
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
- Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Ansible)
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes Helm)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack Datadog)
- Solid understanding of networking security and compliance practices
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure components like Active Directory VPNs endpoint management
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
