Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations provide technical support to radiologists and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures. This position requires a balance of technical expertise compassion and professionalism in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures according to established departmental standards and protocols.
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations ensuring high-quality imaging for interpretation by the radiologist.
Operate maintain and make minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment taking appropriate safety precautions to protect patients and staff.
Clean and calibrate equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
Verify that adequate supplies are available and assist with inventory control.
Capture images and upload them to the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) for radiologist review.
Provide technical assistance and guidance to radiologists and other clinical staff during ultrasound procedures.
Participate in the orientation and mentorship of new ultrasound personnel.
Answer telephones schedule examinations and coordinate patient transportation as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation including patient records and imaging logs in compliance with departmental and hospital standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor or radiologist.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital or diagnostic imaging setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with clinical software and PACS systems.
Strong understanding of anatomy physiology and medical imaging principles.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail accuracy and discretion.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask work independently and collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.

Education & Certifications
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) registration required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.
