Job Summary

Role: AWS / Kubernetes Engineer (Generalist)
Location: Hybrid New York City
Type: Contract
Interview: Video (final may be in-person)
Visa: Any visa except OPT H1B (avoid fake GC)

Focus:
Support SRHG-wide AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure. Own day-to-day operations improve visibility and reduce platform toil so the core team can focus on Lego (shared infra buildout).

Core Skills:

Strong understanding of AWS (IAM S3 EC2 CloudTrail RDS VPC Transit Gateway)
Proficient with Kubernetes / EKS (cluster operations manifests RBAC upgrades)
Experience with Datadog (dashboards alerts APM)
Comfortable with GitHub Actions (workflows runners secrets)
Familiar with FinOps practices and cost tools (nOps Kubecost tagging resource optimization)

Expectations:

Execute small infrastructure projects independently
Respond to AWS/EKS issues and follow through to resolution
Improve tagging monitoring and cost visibility across environments
Collaborate with internal engineers to offload repeatable operational work
Contribute to shared tooling and documentation
