About the Opportunity
Education Early Childhood & Pre-Primary (Preschool) sector in India. We deliver developmentally appropriate play-led learning experiences for children aged 26 blending creative social and foundational academic skills to prepare learners for primary school. This is an on-site role based in India focused on day-to-day classroom delivery and parental collaboration.
Role: Preschool Teacher (Pre-Primary) On-site
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans and daily schedules that combine play-based learning guided discovery and early literacy/numeracy foundations.
- Manage a safe nurturing classroom environmentfacilitate transitions maintain routines and ensure child safety and hygiene at all times.
- Use observation and formative assessment to track developmental milestones; adapt activities to individual learning needs.
- Deliver phonics-led reading readiness and hands-on activities (art sensory play fine motor exercises) to build foundational skills.
- Engage proactively with parentsshare progress updates conduct parent-teacher interactions and provide guidance for at-home reinforcement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain classroom resources follow curriculum guidelines and participate in school events and professional development.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Diploma or certification in Early Childhood Care and Education (e.g. DECE) (Early Childhood) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Practical classroom experience in preschool / pre-primary settings (hands-on delivery of lessons and routines).
- Strong command of play-based pedagogy lesson planning and formative child assessment methods.
- Familiarity with early literacy approaches including phonics instruction and pre-writing activities.
- Valid First Aid / CPR certification or willingness to obtain within onboarding period.
- Ability to work on-site full time in the assigned location in India.
Preferred
- Experience with Montessori Playway or EYFS-aligned curricula.
- Additional training in special needs inclusion or remedial early intervention.
- Prior exposure to classroom management tools and digital student-record systems.
