Located at our Landing Gear Services facility in Medley FL the Director ofEngineeringplays a key role in maintaining high-quality standards while complying with GAT processes. Reporting to the Vice President this position is responsible for the development and completion of projects reporting to upper management planning and working with multiple and diverse teams.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for designing and implementing engineering solutions to meet the needs of the MRO.
- Responsible for ensuring that the MROs engineering activities are in compliance with all FAA regulations and guidelines
- Work with the MROs maintenance and repair team to develop and implement maintenance and repair procedures to ensure the safety and reliability of the aircraft and components.
- Responsible for managing the engineering budget and ensuring that all engineering activities are completed within the budget.
- Identify areas for improvement in the MROs engineering practices and processes and develop strategies to address them.
- Collaborate with other departments within the MRO such as operations and quality control to ensure that engineering activities are aligned with the overall goals of the organization.
- Responsible for maintaining documentation related to the MROs engineering activities such as design specifications and maintenance procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in engineering practices to ensure that the MRO remains competitive and innovative.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelorsor Masters degree in Engineering Aeronautical Mechanical or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Aviation
- Must have strong analytical skills to identify problems develop solutions and make decisions based on data
- Preferred qualifications: Airframe and Powerplant License Six Sigma Green Belt or CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional)
