**Job Specific Responsibilities and Tasks:**
The following duties may be assigned and are not limited to:
**Core Duties:**
- Initiate perform and complete assigned responsibilities in providing care to diverse patient populations.
- Execute patient care responsibilities based on each patients condition utilizing judgment to determine the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments. Accurately recognize report and record relevant patient information.
- Observe identify and respond to the needs of patients for care which includes medication management equipment-assisted care and patient/family education.
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications (including oral topical subcutaneous intramuscular and/or intravenous routes) and conduct treatments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations seek assistance from the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) and initiate appropriate emergency interventions as directed.- Execute supportive duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures. This includes preparing the patient assisting in the diagnostic examination preparing and handling specialized instruments or equipment and monitoring the patients condition before during and after the procedure.
- Provide orientation to peers and ancillary personnel regarding unit policies and procedures skills and standards of practice.
- Integrate principles of a healthy work environment that enhance patient healthcare delivery facilitate the education of patients and their families and improve employee satisfaction.
**Schedule:**
The work schedule is Monday through Friday 0600-1600 hours with shifts of 8 9 or 10 hours based on departmental needs. There are no holidays or weekend shifts required.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- **Degree:** Certificate-
**Education:** Must be a graduate of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or a graduate from an accredited program recognized by the applicable State Board of Nursing or a training program approved by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).-
**Experience:** Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of full-time clinical experience within the last two years as an LPN/LVN.-
**Licensure:** Hold a current full active and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse.- **Security:** Candidates must demonstrate the ability to pass a government background check/security clearance.-
**Life Support Certification:** Must possess a current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
