- Join the HWElectronicsPeSURBOX Development team as a PCB Design Engineer focused on safety-critical Battery Management Systems (BMS) for automotive production.
- Design develop and optimize complex multi-layer PCBs for BMS applications using Altium Designer ensuring high signal integrity robust power distribution and compliance with automotive standards.
- Translate detailed schematics into efficient manufacturable PCB layouts; perform placement and routing with attention to EMI/EMC requirements and manufacturability.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analyses to ensure production readiness and cost efficiency.
- Develop and maintain PCB design guidelines and best practices for the BMS team; contribute to governance of design data and libraries.
- Perform thermal analysis and thermal management considerations for high-power PCBs used in Battery Management Systems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for PCB designs including BOMs and assembly drawings; collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure smooth transitions to manufacturing.

- Proactive problem-solver with a structured approach to debugging and design optimization.
- Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and reliability in production environments.

Must have technical skill | - Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of PCB design experience with a strong emphasis on automotive electronics and BMS-related work.
- Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer including advanced high-speed/high-density design features.
- Experience creating automotive component libraries in Altium.
- Demonstrated success designing multi-layer PCBs for automotive applications with solid understanding of stack-up design impedance control and signal integrity.
- Experience with high-power PCB design and thermal management strategies.
- Familiarity with automotive design standards (e.g. AEC-Q100) and safety requirements (e.g. ISO 26262).
- Experience with version control systems for PCB design files (e.g. SVN Git).

Good to have Technical skills | - Knowledge of BMS-related components and interfaces (e.g. power electronics interfaces high-current traces EMI/EMC considerations).
- Experience with thermal simulation tools and methods for PCB-level thermal analysis.
- Familiarity with IPC guidelines and automotive PCB certifications.
- Understanding of how PCB design interacts with enclosure design enclosures and harnessing in automotive assemblies.
- Experience supporting design reviews design verification and design transfer to production.
