We are hiring an Person in Charge for a Nursing Home in Co. Carlow.
Responsibilities
Provide supportive leadership to staff ensuring delivery of high-quality person-centred care.
Ensure full compliance with HIQA standards policies and statutory regulations.
Oversee care planning assessments audits incident reporting and governance processes.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in resident care.
Lead recruitment induction supervision and ongoing staff development.
Communicate effectively with residents families multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
Manage budgets staffing and resources efficiently to support optimal service delivery.
Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation policies and systems.
Respond promptly to inspections emergencies and regulatory requirements.
Champion initiatives that promote resident well-being dignity and quality of life.
Requirements
- Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) with active registration.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior nursing management role within a residential care setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of HIQA standards the Health Act 2007 and relevant best practice guidelines.
- Demonstrated leadership organisational and team management skills.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong commitment to quality care resident safety and empowerment.
