We are seeking a Junior Metal Trader with a strong focus on customer liaison and service for a growing company. This role involves managing market price fluctuations responding to changing market conditions and coordinating with customers and warehouses to ensure smooth operations. The office will relocate to Orange County in the first quarter of 2025.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary contact for customers maintaining professional communication and addressing their needs promptly.
- Monitor aluminum market price fluctuations and adjust strategies based on market conditions.
- Coordinate closely with customers warehouses and logistics partners to manage shipments and inventory effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of cargo tracking inventory and delivery status using multiple spreadsheets.
- Understand the logistics flow and pricing structure within the metal industry and negotiate cost reductions with vendors.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers vendors and logistics partners.
- Handle administrative duties and other tasks as needed to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain professional customer interactions.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Experience with QuickBooks (preferred).
- Prior experience in the metal industry or freight forwarding companies (preferred).
- Valid proof of employment eligibility in the United States.
