What is the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our busy Accounts team. This role typically reports into the Finance Manager.

This will be a varied role which will require the role holder to carry out ledger clerk duties amongst other varied finance tasks.

What youll do as a Finance Assistant

• Coding and processing of invoices on to coins
• Prepare mid-month/end of month subcontractor payment runs
• Ensure all CIS and insurance details are correct and updated accordingly
• Maintenance of ledger accounts
• Opening of new supplier accounts in accordance with the Persimmon Plc internal controls
• Working closely with the commercial team
• Any other accounting duties reasonably required by the Finance Manager

What experience do I need

• Experience in a similar accounting role
• A relevant accounting qualification or working towards one would be beneficial
• Previous experience in the construction industry would be an advantage but not essential
• Experience of using Microsoft applications especially Excel
• Must be organised diligent and able to work under pressure
