What awaits you/ Job Profile

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer you will be a working with a diverse team from BMW Group responsible for implementing and operating the cloud infrastructure platforms that powers the BMW Group on AWS. The candidate will be working closely with the software developers platform engineers cloud architects and other project associates to manage infrastructure effectively and ensure high availability of our IT services without compromising the security and safety of our information.

What should you bring along

• Assist teams in resolving issues encountered on the cloud platform including but not limited to system failures performance issues and network configurations.
• Participate in the deployment and maintenance of cloud platforms to ensure system stability and security.
• Ensure operations of cloud platforms are optimum covering markets in Asia Europe and the Americas.
• Ensure IT security standards are implemented and always enforced.
• Provide efficient technical support to ensure timely resolution and proper handling of client issues.
• Communicate with other IT teams to understand their needs and feedback and provide solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation documenting common issues and solutions to help the team better understand and address problems.
• Collaborate with product development teams to provide feedback on other IT team needs and issues driving product improvements and optimizations.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative detail-oriented mindset.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Work often in CET timezone.
• Outstanding Analytical and Communication Skills MUST.

Must have technical skill

• Experience on AWS public cloud infrastructure and operations
• Sound knowledge on cloud architecture well-architected framework.
• Familiarity on DR Strategy
• Working knowledge on Kubernetes and Containerization
• Working knowledge on Operational Observability Logging Monitoring Alerting concept and tooling e.g. Grafana Stack Elastic Stack etc.
• Working knowledge on Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) - Terraform Helm CDK
• Working knowledge on CI/CD toolchain - GitHub GitHub Actions
• Familiar with Agile - Scrum Kanban methodologies and Jira Confluence.

Good to have technical skills

• Cloud certification e.g. AWS Solution Architect Professional AWS DevOps Engineer Professional.
• CNCF certification e.g. CKA CKAD CKS.
• Knowledge on Cloud security shift-left security.
• Experience on SQL and NoSQL administration.
• Experience with Linux administration.
