Job Summary

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Montrose Environmental Group Consulting Division is seeking a Vice President (VP) of U.S. Advisory and Technical Services to lead a diverse set of services including Chemistry Health Sciences Industrial Hygiene Air and Risk Management Solutions. This leader will be responsible for fostering a high performing team delivering client value and achieving financial performance across a $60M line of business.

Advisory and Technical Services is comprised of over 175 professionals across the United States. This role is pivotal in unifying the teams under a shared vision while honoring their technical diversity.

This leader will be a key member of the US Consulting Leadership Team and will report to the SVP of US & Australia 2026 in parallel with delivering success the Consulting Leadership Team will be evaluating designing and implementing an optimized organization structure for 2027 and beyond. The leader undertaking the VP of US Advisory and Technical Services role will be a key partner in this evolution and needs to bring the flexibility to step into an alternate leadership role if the organization design dictates a change.

This position requires a visible leader who actively engages across offices clients and partners. The leader would ideally be based in one of our primary offices in Little Rock AR; Valley Forge PA; or Denver CO but can be based in another Montrose/CTEH location with advisory and technical team members; the role will require a willingness to travel regularly.

This role is expected to deliver:

Business and Financial Leadership

  • Drive disciplined execution and financial stewardship of the portfolio.

  • Own end-to-end financial and operational performance including profit and loss revenue growth gross margin and EBITDA performance.

  • Oversee financial planning budgeting forecasting and investment prioritization.

  • Proactively monitor results and implement timely corrective actions.

  • Anticipate market shifts and emerging trends to mitigate risk and capture growth opportunities.

Talent Strategy & Organizational Development

  • Foster a culture where employee safety is a non-negotiable priority.

  • Drive workforce planning staff utilization and succession strategies across technical and leadership levels.

  • Attract develop and retain high-performing talent.

Fostering Collaboration and Cross-Selling

  • Bring together multidisciplinary experts from Chemistry Air Industrial Hygiene Risk and Health Sciences to deliver integrated client-focused solutions.

  • In partnership with MEG and Fusion business development and marketing teams expand service offerings through cross-selling.

Operational & Technical Excellence

  • Ensure consistent standards for safety quality technical rigor and client satisfaction while driving innovation and scalable best practices.

Client & Partner Engagement

  • Cultivate strategic relationships with clients industry stakeholders and regulatory agencies to strengthen market position.

Change and Integration

  • Champion transformation and integration across service lines and acquired entities to create a unified agile organization.

  • Lead nationwide initiatives to streamline best practices across acquired and organic businesses (e.g. pricing proposal development technical execution)

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelors degree in relevant scientific or engineering discipline business or related field (Masters preferred).

  • 10 years of progressive leadership in health sciences or environmental services.

  • Proven track record managing diverse environmental and technical services preferably with P&L oversight across multiple geographies.

  • Demonstrated expertise in leading through change integrating acquired businesses and scaling operations in complex matrixed environments.

  • Exceptional leadership business acumen negotiation and communication skills.
