- The role will be to deliver data centre related projects in various stages of its lifecycle (Design New Build Enabling Works Upgrades & Fitout)
- To lead their own projects autonomously with guidance/oversight from a Client Project Director.
- Setting up and running the project through its lifecycle of setup planning execution monitoring & controlling including variation impact analysis and closing.
- Oversee the development of the Design Programme and Cost Plan in accordance with established project requirements.
- Work closely with the Project Team Development and Design Facilities Management Procurement Supply Agreements and Contractors/ Authorities to confirm the project scope timeline cost management procurement management and risk management are tracked and actively managed.
- Resolve any project related issues and communicate changes to all stakeholders whether internally or externally.
- Manage the Contractor and monitor works progress.
- Chari or facilitate regular meetings and workshops such as: client project team meetings; Project Control Group meetings; Design workshops; Co-ordination workshops; Risk/ Opportunity workshops; OH&S reviews; Contractor works meetings; commercial meetings etc.
- Oversee the compilation of internal progress reporting.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or higher e.g. Project Management/ Engineering/ Architect/ Building Construction/ Quantity Surveying etc.
- 5-10 years relevant experience in large-scale Greenfield / Brownfield projects in the Data Centre industry (or similar highly serviced asset class) across the entire project lifecycle.
- Qualifications in project management preferred e.g. RICS/CIOB.
- Broad and coherent theoretical and technical knowledge with depth in the disciplines of project management design management programme planning cost management and construction & fitout techniques.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent PowerPoint and report writing skills.
- Cognitive and creative skills to exercise critical thinking and judgement in identifying and solving problems with intellectual independence.
- Communication skills to present a clear coherent and independent exposition of knowledge and ideas.
- A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle from project inception stage design authority approvals through to construction completion and post-project review.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of the main project management concepts tools and techniques.
- Ability to thrive in a high pressure fast paced environment.
- Advanced Microsoft skills are essential Excel PowerPoint Project Word etc.
- Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your client
- Candidate to have valid Australian visa and working rights.
