About the Role
Formed in 1882 Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nations most respected hospitals with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local statewide national and international communities.
The Trainee Sonographer position is a trainee placement role focused on obstetrics and gynaecology ultrasound. The position is provided with comprehensive supervised training encompassing all facets of obstetrics and gynecology ultrasound. The primary objective of this position is to contribute to the augmentation of the existing obstetrics and gynecology workforce within the Fetal Medicine Department RPA Women and Babies and Canterbury obstetrics ultrasound services.
Please note this position is for a trainee sonographer specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology ultrasound. Cardiac Technologist 2 is the Award at which the position is paid. The positions will be minimum 24 hours per week with the ability to work up to 5 days as needed. Experience in medical imaging with AHPRA registration is preferred.
