Laboratory Automation Solutions (LAS) our clinical diagnostic division specialize in the design and manufacture of compact innovative benchtop automation for optimizing pre- and post-analytical workflows in pathology and analytical laboratories and has installations worldwide.

Internship Opportunities Available.

Position 2- Mechanical Design Engineering Intern

What Youll Do:

• Contribute to the detailed design of electromechanical subassemblies

• Apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles

• Prepare manufacturing drawings using GD&T

• Use 3D CAD software (PTC Creo preferred; SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor accepted)

What Youll Bring:

• 3rd4th year student in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design

• Strong grasp of mechanical design fundamentals and tolerances

• Creative and practical approach to design and prototyping

• Effective communicator and team collaborator

• Proficient in MS Office

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply you must:

• Be an Australian citizen permanent resident or have full working rights

• Be available to work full-time during the internship period

• Be able to attend work daily at our Virginia Brisbane office

• Be studying a relevant engineering discipline
