Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial industrial retail residential and institutional markets. (In New Century KS Lebanon TN and Rockford IL we do business as: Olathe Millworks Warren Brother Sash & Door River City Millworks respectfully.)

Description: We are growing and seeking a Production Associate in our millwork division. You will perform a variety of millwork duties including operating a variety of machines and tools.

Who We Are Looking For:

• You have manufacturing experience (machine operator assembly machinist or similar.)
• Ideally you are experienced in operating a planer and/or rip saw to mill hardwood and softwood lumber.
• You understand basic math to include using fractions to mill lumber to customer requirements.

What You Will Do:

• Operate machines and tools (planers rip saws and chop saws)
• Inspect lumber prior to milling to verify order.
• Use measuring instruments such as but not limited to rules gauges or calipers.
• Mill lumber accurately according to each corresponding customer order.
• Comply with OSHA safety regulations when operating and maintaining machines.
• Lift and carry products weighing 75-100 lbs. with helper as required.
• You will be required to work both inside and outside in extremes of cold heat and humidity depending on the season and location
• You will be exposed to modest amounts of sawdust and noise.

This role is a Safety Sensitive position subject to routine drug screening.
