This is your chance to gain invaluable hands-on experience learn from the best in the business and contribute to real-world projects. You wont just be watchingyoull be collaborating directly with experienced professionals on some of the most exciting projects in the industry.
A multi Oscar-winning creative studio we have worked with some of the greatest storytellers in film today. Collaborating with directors and producers across the complete filmmaking process to help design plan and create beautiful images we focus on finding innovative creative solutions to support their vision and set new standards for visual effects in cinema.

Our program is built to give you a genuine taste of studio life and accelerate your learning. Your internship will be a dynamic mix of:
Hands-on Studio Work: Get fully integrated into our pipeline and work alongside our teams on live projects.
Structured Learning: Attend exclusive presentations from senior artists and department heads.
Personal Mentorship: Develop a personal project with guidance from a dedicated mentor.
Networking: Connect with your fellow interns and the wider Framestore team through informal meetups and events.
In previous years Launchpad interns have had the opportunity to contribute to world-class projects like How to Train Your Dragon Together and Mortal Kombat. We have another fantastic slate of shows lined up for 2026 and youll be right in the middle of the action.
We are offering internship opportunities in several key areas. When applying please specify which department or specialism you are most interested in.
This paid internship is a fast-track opportunity for those ready to make the leap from education to a professional career. You are eligible to apply if you meet the following criteria:
Recent Graduate: You have graduated from a relevant course or program within the last 12 months.
OR Soon-to-Be Graduate: You are in the final year of your program and will be available to work full-time for the entire duration of the internship.
Reel: Able to demonstrate your creative and technical ability through a reel and/or portfolio.
Work Authorisation: You must have the legal right to work in Australia. (Please note: We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this program.)
Available to work in the Melbourne studio from 2 February - 27 March 2026.
Industry Software experience in Maya Nuke Flow and/or Houdini.
