About the role
This role works across Sydney Water to help achieve our strategic priorities by supporting the management of reputational risks and opportunities. You will build collaborative relationships within the organisation and externally with representatives from government agencies local councils industry and peak bodies.
Your excellent coordination and writing skills will underpin the Stakeholder teams work to build relationships and trust with decision-maker stakeholders on a broad variety of initiatives. This will include contributing to the development of stakeholder engagement plans and researching background information.
You will also:
Curious by nature you are interested in the issues affecting Sydney as a growing city and adept at translating technical information into compelling messages for stakeholders. Your analytical mind will help identify engagement and socio-political trends while supporting the teams reporting to senior internal stakeholders.
Ideally you have worked in a large organisation in a public affairs stakeholder engagement or corporate communications capacity. You may have experience in government private sector a peak body or within an advocacy setting. You are self-driven comfortable with ambiguity have an eye for detail and look for opportunities to innovate.
To be successful in this role you must be a team-player be able to navigate your way in a large organisation and juggle multiple initiatives and work with competing priorities.
