DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician II is accountable for the efficient operation of all the equipment and instrumentation throughout the facility both inside and outside of the building. This position accomplishes the organizational objectives by ensuring that all equipment and instrumentation is operating at optimal levels utilizing electromechanical skills tools and resources. This position manages projects with direction and supervision.
Additional Information:
Night Shift: 6:00pm - 6:30am Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday Sunday
This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Companys applicable plans.
Job duties include contact with other employees operating heavy machinery and access to proprietary information raw materials finished merchandise and/or other items of value and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Companys staff employees and vendors.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment
- Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently
- Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines
- Record and report damaged worn or broken parts
- Order and install replacement parts for machines
- Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs
- Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted
- Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC lighting water and sewer etc.
- Maintain documentation as required
- Clean organize inventory stock and otherwise maintain shop areas parts tools and supplies
- Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines
- Maintain technical knowledge through training
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have at least five (5) year of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have at least an industrial electrical and/or welding certification or license
- Have at least six (6) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Have at least five (5) years of experience reading blueprints and schematics
