Are you a highly organized and professional administrative expert looking to support a dynamic team The Community Standards Branch is seeking a Transit Peace Officer (TPO) Administrative Support professional to join the Peace Officers section.
This position provides essential administrative support to the Transit Peace Officers Sergeants Inspectors and the Superintendent. You will be a key liaison managing documents processing violation tickets handling invoices and ensuring the smooth administrative operation of the section. What will you do
Act as a professional and positive point of contact for the unit section and various collaborators
Provide comprehensive administrative support to leadership including calendar management scheduling and correspondence development
Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing correspondence ensuring all documents are appropriately tracked recorded and forwarded
Create format and draft various documents such as memos and letters
Manage all aspects of document and file management (creating processing scanning filing) in line with corporate and FOIP requirements
Coordinate and support committees and meetings including logistics scheduling preparing agendas taking minutes and following up on action items
Process violation tickets administer bylaw ticket payment processes and scan files for court reports
Handle general office duties including purchasing supplies coordinating telephone/cellular inventory managing parking pass requests and submitting Ariba requests and expense reports
Produce correspondence related to complaints and conduct investigations
Other duties as assigned
Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade including business subjects related to word and information processing or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college supplemented by training in basic microcomputer application and a minimum of two (2) years diversified word and information processing experience
OR
Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade including business subjects related to data entry or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college and a minimum of two (2) years diversified data entry experience including general office procedures
Assets:
Experience with IAPro software
Proficiency in business applications beyond the Google Suite
Skills required for success:
Proficiency in Google applications and knowledge of general office management and equipment
A strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy especially in data entry transcribing and proofreading
Excellent organizational prioritization and time management skills
Ability to manage high volumes of work meet short timelines and adapt to changing priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and work collaboratively in a team
Demonstrated professionalism integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality
A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with policies

Conditions of Employment:
Hire is dependent on a Criminal Records Check (CRC) that is satisfactory to the City of Edmonton and there may be a cost associated with this requirement
Candidates are required to hold a valid Alberta Class 5 drivers license (or provincial equivalent) or higher. Candidates will be required to arrange their own transportation and where appropriate will be reimbursed in accordance with City of Edmonton policy. This may require the candidate to obtain business-use auto insurance

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite as per the Letter of Understanding between the City of Edmonton and Civic Service Union 52
The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance

Salary Range: $25.864 - $32.117 (Hourly); $45565.900 - $56582.120 (Annually)
