About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivatedRFEngineer to join ourRFSystems this role you willsupportthe design and testing ofRFsubsystems for spacecraft. As an integral part of our growing engineering team you will be collaborating cross-functionally across engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Revise existingRFsubsystem and board-level designs
• PerformRFdevice characterization
• Contribute toRFsystem analyses and performEMcircuit simulations
• Act as responsible engineer forRFPCBfabrication & assembly issues
• Collaborate with Production Test Engineering onRFperformance troubleshooting test improvements and procedure modifications
• Support on-orbit payload commissioning
• Analyze & trend on-orbit payload performance

Requirements:

• BSEE/Physics 4 years related experience or MSEE/Physics 2 years related experience
• Experience with schematic capture & multilayerPCBlayout (Altium preferred)
• Knowledge ofRFSystems performance metrics (s-parameters linearity noise figure)
• Knowledge of commonRFcomponents (amplifiers mixers filters oscillators)
• Experience withRFTest & Measurement equipment (spectrum analyzer network analyzer oscilloscope)
• Hands-on experience working with and troubleshootingRFcircuits and/or systems
• Strong verbal & visual communication skills
• To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Capella Employees must be a U.S. citizen lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce as applicable. Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience withRFsimulation tools (MWO VSS ADS SystemVue HFSS)
• Familiarity with data analysis and signal processing tools (e.g. Python MATLAB)
• Knowledge of wireless communication standards and link budget analysis
• Familiarity withLinux systemsand command line scripting
• Familiarity with common bus protocols (I2C SPICAN)
• 3D CAD modeling experience
• Security clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance preferred.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $107544 - $134431. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education qualification knowledge skills ability and experience of the final candidate(s) specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
