Job Description

Your Role

The Director of Enterprise Business Resilience Strategy and Governance is responsible for developing implementing and overseeing Invescos global resilience strategy governance standards and model and risk management. This enterprise-wide scope includes organizational resilience operational resilience cyber resilience business continuity crisis management and disaster recovery. This role ensures Invesco can anticipate avoid withstand respond to recover from and even thrive from disruptions while maintaining critical operations while protecting and safeguarding clients.

You will be Responsible for:

Strategic Leadership

  • Establish andmaintainorganizational resilience risk appetite andthresholdsaligned with strategic business priorities in partnership with Enterprise Risk Management and enterprise business leaders.

  • Develop and lead a comprehensiveorganizationalresiliencestrategy aligned withriskappetitebusiness objectivesandregulatory requirements.

  • Lead the Global Office of Enterprise Resilience accountabilities of which include:

  • Organizational Resilience -Maintainingan effective strategic governance andoperating modelthat ensuresInvesco can effectivelyavoidresist absorb recover and adapt to business disruptionin an ever-changing and increasingly complex environment to deliverstrategicobjectives rebound and prosper.

  • Communicate resilienceposture and progress to theExecutive Leadership TeamBoard of Directors regulators and other key stakeholders.

  • Serve as the executive sponsor for resilienceinitiatives across all business unitsandsitelocations inNorth America EMEA APAC locations / regions

Organizational ResilienceGovernance and Oversight

  • Oversee the design and implementation of frameworks forInvescos global organizational resilience. Establish and maintain enterpriseresiliencerisk statements.

  • Establish andmaintainresilience standards and govern implementation.

  • Oversight resilience technology and business functiontests andexercises.

  • Establish and maintain leading indicators ensuring Invesco is achieving its intended resilience impact.

  • Ensure critical businessfunctions (including third parties ) areidentified mapped and supported byeffective resilienceand continuity plans.

  • Ensuretechnology infrastructure and digital assets are resilient to cyber threats and system failuresin partnershipwith the Managing Directors of Security and Technology and the CISO Cyber Security.

Strategic Partnerships:

  • BusinessContinuityEnsuringInvescocan maintain operations and deliver essential services during and after a disruptive event.

  • Disaster RecoveryEnsuring systems and data can be effectively restored after a disaster or major disruption.

  • Crisis Management Oversight response efforts during high severity incidents.

  • Exercising and TestingFosteringa culture of resilience through training awareness and cross-functional collaboration incorporatingthreat simulations tabletop exercises and after-action reviews.

Risk & Compliance

  • Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Compliance Officer to ensure resilienceeffortsare within Invescos risk appetite andmeet regulatory expectations.

  • Oversight resilience tests and exercises regulatory exams and third-party assessments related to resilience.

The experience you bring:

  • 15 years of experience in business continuity risk management operational resilience or a related field.

  • Experience in the financial sector a plus

  • Proven leadership experience in a global matrixed organization.

  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g. ISO 22301ITILNIST FINRA).

  • Strong understanding of resilience regulations (e.g. Operational Resilience Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA))

  • Strong analytical strategic thinking and crisis management skills.

  • Excellent executive level communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Bachelors degree required; advanced degree (MBA MS Risk Management) or relevant certifications (CBCP MBCI CRISC) preferred.

  • Ability to execute and influence business partners to deliver on firm resilience objectives
