Hardware Engineering Manager
Role Overview:
The Hardware Engineering Manager leads a team of design engineers while contributing hands-on to the design prototyping and testing of PCBs and PCBAs. This role combines leadership technical expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable high-quality hardware products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mentor and develop a team of hardware engineers.
- Design develop and test PCBs and PCBAs with a focus on quality and manufacturability.
- Oversee schematic design layout and component selection.
- Manage hardware projects from concept to production.
- Collaborate with firmware software and mechanical teams.
- Drive process improvement and adopt new hardware technologies.
- Ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
Requirements
- 5 years in hardware engineering (PCB design/fabrication).
- 2 years in management or technical leadership.
- Experience with PCBA testing (functional ICT boundary scan).
- Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium Cadence etc.).
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Required Skills:
Required Skills & Experience Technical Background 3 years experience validating AC-DC power systems Solid understanding of 48 V DC bus architecture Comfortable working with 208 V / 480 V
Required Education:
BSEE
