Hardware Engineering Manager

Role Overview:

The Hardware Engineering Manager leads a team of design engineers while contributing hands-on to the design prototyping and testing of PCBs and PCBAs. This role combines leadership technical expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable high-quality hardware products.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead mentor and develop a team of hardware engineers.
Design develop and test PCBs and PCBAs with a focus on quality and manufacturability.
Oversee schematic design layout and component selection.
Manage hardware projects from concept to production.
Collaborate with firmware software and mechanical teams.
Drive process improvement and adopt new hardware technologies.
Ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.

Requirements

5 years in hardware engineering (PCB design/fabrication).
2 years in management or technical leadership.
Experience with PCBA testing (functional ICT boundary scan).
Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium Cadence etc.).
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Required Skills:

Required Skills & Experience Technical Background 3 years experience validating AC-DC power systems Solid understanding of 48 V DC bus architecture Comfortable working with 208 V / 480 V

Required Education:

BSEE
