Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled PowerCARD Data Migration Expert to support the successful transition of card data from the legacy PowerCARD system to a new Card Management System (CMS). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data migration within the payments or banking domain deep functional knowledge of card lifecycle management and strong technical expertise in PowerCARD architecture and associated data structures.
This role requires both functional and technical understanding of card issuing and acquiring systems data mapping and compliance with payment industry standards and security frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute data mapping and migration activities from PowerCARD to the target CMS ensuring data integrity completeness and accuracy.
Analyze and document PowerCARD data models identifying relevant entities dependencies and relationships across functional areas.
Collaborate with business analysts architects and technical teams to define migration strategies data validation rules and reconciliation approaches.
Develop ETL scripts and migration tools to extract transform and load card data efficiently and securely.
Perform functional and technical validation to ensure the migrated data supports end-to-end card processing functionality.
Support testing and defect resolution during migration phases and post-migration stabilization.
Ensure all migration activities comply with PCI DSS and other regulatory data security standards.
Provide expertise and guidance on card domain processes including card lifecycle transaction management and dispute handling.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with proven expertise in PowerCARD systems and card data migration.
Deep understanding of card domain operations including:
Card network architecture and processing flows
BIN management
Merchant and cardholder onboarding
Transaction and card lifecycle management
Account management (credit revolving interest generation fees)
Strong knowledge of payment schemes and standards including:
ISO 8583 ISO 20022 EMV and PCI-DSS (including EMV/terminal key management)
Schemes such as Visa Mastercard AMEX UPI
Fraud Compliance and Risk Management including dispute and chargeback processes
Hands-on experience with SQL ETL tools and scripting languages (e.g. Python PowerShell) for data extraction transformation and validation.
Comprehensive understanding of data governance security and compliance practices in payment environments.
Proven track record of managing end-to-end data migration projects within the banking or payments domain.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in large-scale CMS or core banking migration programs.
Exposure to data quality frameworks data lineage and reconciliation processes.
Strong analytical documentation and communication skills with the ability to liaise between technical and business teams.
