About the job and team
Norsk Hydro ASA is seeking a strategic and commercially drivenSenior Manager IT Procurement to lead and evolve our global IT procurement function. This role will be responsible for managing the largest and most complex IT contracts across the company ensuring alignment with business needs cost efficiency and innovation. The successful candidate will oversee a global team based in Norway Hungary and Brazil and work cross-functionally across all Business Areas to deliver best-in-class procurement outcomes.
What you will be doing
- Lead the global IT procurement strategy ensuring alignment with Hydros overall business and digital transformation goals
- Own and manage Hydros largest IT contracts including software hardware cloud services and strategic outsourcing agreements
- Lead and develop a high-performing global procurement team located in Norway Hungary and Brazil
- Collaborate with senior leaders across all Business Areas to understand needs influence decisions and drive value
- Apply a strong commercial mindset to negotiations supplier management and cost optimization initiatives
- Bring deep expertise in IT procurement categories including licensing models SaaS infrastructure and emerging technologies
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies legal requirements and sustainability goals
- Drive innovation in procurement practices leveraging digital tools and market intelligence

What will make you successful
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business IT Supply Chain or related field
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g. Portuguese Norwegian Hungarian) are a plus
- Proven experience in global IT procurement leadership roles ideally within large complex organizations
- Strong track record of managing high-value IT contracts and vendor relationships
Personal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-cultural teams and work across geographies
- Deep understanding of IT categories and market dynamics
- Excellent negotiation communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially astute with a strategic mindset
