The Position

The Opportunity

You as Head of Professional Technical Services are a member of the Leadership Team of Roche Hungarys Diagnostics Division. You ensure compliant and high quality professional and technical services for Roche customers in the areas of Service Engineering Application and IT while developing customer-focused and long lasting stable partnerships.

You are responsible for adopting global Service guidelines and divisional standards to assure the highest quality instruments to support the diagnostics decisions for the patients and responsible for boosting cross-functional/regional/global collaboration to shape and deliver impactful projects.

You coach the direct/indirect team members to live agile values and behaviors and enable them to reach their team value proposition and vision and to unlock their greatness and true potential. Together with the Country Manager the role is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the department and prioritizing initiatives in alignment with the mission statement and the 3 years aspirational plan of the affiliate. Therefore this is a key role in helping to shape the future of the Diagnostics Division at Roche Hungary.

  • Ensuring excellent and market leading technical services and maintaining strong and long lasting partnerships with the customers and stakeholders and ensuring that customers/stakeholders needs are understood and guaranteeing their satisfaction as well as the productivity of the organization by developing evaluating and implementing strategies to identify opportunities and improving service delivery

  • Positioning Roche as an attractive and impactful partner for our key decision makers

  • Ensuring that the Roche instruments and systems in the local market are always up to date well maintained and operating on the highest quality and reliability to help the customers to focus on patients and ensure reliable and fast diagnostics results

  • Translating global and regional vision and strategic direction for the own are of practice into business-aligned action plans for the country leading the implementation of such strategies

  • Managing the local service budget

  • Regularly checking if current team priorities are leading the team towards the achievement of the companys mission statement effectively managing and coaching team members to ensure team objectives and service goals maintaining and prioritizing the teams backlog supporting the team in focusing on the tasks that are currently most impactful from the perspective of our vision and strategic priorities

  • Adopting and monitoring relevant Global Service Standards and continuously shaping and driving the organization towards a forward-looking group and a strong internally aligned network

  • Adopting fulfilling and monitoring relevant Global Service KPI System and complying with MedTech Compliance ISO rules and occupational safety regulations.

Who you are

  • BSc/MSc Degree in Technical areas (eg. Electrical Mechatronical Mechanical etc.) with proven experience in relevant professional / managerial role(s) and proven track record of business development service and infrastructure enhancement

  • Proven track record of driving project and change initiatives process improvements implementing agile and new ways of working and experience in strategy development execution and implementation driving digital agile or similar transformations

  • Healthcare Industry Knowledge proven effectiveness in working with senior healthcare and administrative leadership as well as front line staff understanding of healthcare system regulation processes and governance understanding of hospital and/or laboratories operations and processes

  • Acting in line with the Visionary Architect Coach Catalyst (VACC) model acting as catalyst and coach externally and internally

  • Leadership and stakeholder management skills and experience to interact with senior management ability to explain and communicate clearly and influence/persuade other

  • Fluent in local language and proficient in English to collaborate internally across the broader Roche enterprise is expected.
