Job Overview
The Senior Quality Engineer plays a critical role in advancing manufacturing excellence by driving initiative across safety quality productivity and cost efficiency. This position leads process development and improvement projects mentors quality team members and provides strategic direction to ensure robust quality systems and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Highlights of your role
- Supervise Quality Auditors and Quality Technicians including hiring training performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
- Mentor and develop team members to build technical and quality capabilities.
- Serve asProcessQuality Lead in PPT/IPT projects.
- Identify coordinate and drive continuous improvement activities within production and business processes.
- Develop and coach others onAPQPLean Manufacturing Six Sigma and quality concepts throughout the organization.
- Research and implement new manufacturing technologies and techniques related to quality.
- Investigate quality concerns todetermineroot cause and implement corrective actions using tools such as 5 Whys Fishbone Diagram and FMEA.
- Prevent quality issues from leaving the facility through proactive measures and robust quality systems.
- Lead major projects and initiatives aligned with ROI and businessobjectives.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively with strong organizational and planning skills.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to influence and drive change across departments.
- Communicate effectively through strong verbal and written skills.
- Embracenew technologiesand continuous learning to adapt to evolving business needs and industry trends.
Youre a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or anAssociatedegree with related field experience is
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is required
- Strong written and oral communication are
- A minimum of fiveyears experiencein a manufacturing setting is ideal
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook etc.) is
- Demonstrated strong project management skills
- Excellentself-directionand time management.
