The role includes a mix of clinic-based and mobile services providing comprehensive optometric care through both a fixed-location office and a modern mobile clinic.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range: $122000 to $182000 based on experience and market conditions
- Residency training is considered in compensation offers
- Quarterly productivity bonuses available
- Negotiable sign-on bonus and relocation assistance

- 17 days of accrued PTO annually 10 paid holidays
- CME: $2500 annually 5 days off

Responsibilities
- Perform routine and comprehensive outpatient eye exams including visual field tests and dilations
- Diagnose and manage eye disorders such as infections refractive issues and ocular disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses and monitor patient vision health
- Refer patients to ophthalmology for surgical or advanced care as needed
- Educate patients on eye health and preventive care practices
- Document exams and patient history using eClinicalWorks (ECW) EMR
- Deliver services from a fixed clinic and a fully credentialed mobile optometry unit
- Mobile unit services include exams prescriptions screenings fittings and dilations for local schools and community partners
- Equipment includes slit lamp refractor tonometer visual acuity system retinoscope ophthalmoscope and Spot Vision Screener
- Additional optometric equipment will be ordered as needed to ensure clinical excellence
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in ongoing quality initiatives
- Typical work hours are 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
- Annual patient volume is approximately 3000 visits
Requirements
- Clear and active Florida Optometrist license (Required)
- DEA license not required unless prescribing controlled substances becomes necessary
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- New graduates are welcome to apply
