Position Overview:

Job Description:

• Trouble shooting equipment and systems and performing repairs

• Utilize Caterpillar SIS VIMS and ET daily

• Interface with Caterpillar customers product and sales support

• Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements

• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment

• Various related duties as required

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification

• Valid drivers license with a successful recent drivers abstract

• Strong knowledge/experience of 797F C175 haul truck

• Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal

• Dedication to safety. A safety leader to help drive a strong safety culture

• Completion of all Finning S-level courses

• Strong computer skillset including ET and VIMS

• Preference for advanced electrical troubleshooting skills

• Tier 2/4 & C175 series engines experience

• Experience in a mine or industrial setting is preferred

Important Notes:

• This position is located at D05 Kearl Facility on a 14x14 continuous day/night shift rotation

• 3rd or 4th year apprentices may be considered based on experience

• Successful candidate will be required to stay in camp while on shift

• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator

• Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.

• Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
