The IT Manager oversees and maintains the daily operations of the Information Technology department. This role ensures the stability security and efficiency of all technology systems while providing strategic leadership guidance and support to the IT team. The IT Manager will collaborate with other departments manage projects and budgets and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to the IT department; assign and oversee job responsibilities.
Manage all IT-related service contracts renewals and subscriptions.
Develop and manage the IT department budget.
Coordinate cross-department projects and provide technology support for organizational initiatives.
Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery requirements are met and regularly tested.
Oversee IT-related compliance requirements and documentation.
Plan manage and coordinate IT-related projects ensuring proper resource allocation and timely completion.
Develop update and implement IT-related policies procedures and best practices.
Purchase and coordinate IT-related equipment and services.
Maintain appropriate levels of cybersecurity protection and implement security policies and controls.
Ensure IT team members and employees receive adequate training to perform their duties effectively.
Oversee the organizations fiber optic backbone network for smart-grid operations ensuring optimal performance reliability and cybersecurity compliance.
Provide reports and updates on IT security system performance and strategic progress to leadership and the board as requested.
Evaluate current workflows and technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency. Recommend and implement technology solutions to support business needs and growth.

Proven leadership and team management skills including staff development and performance oversight.
Strong project management abilities with experience balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles data protection and risk management.
Experience managing vendors contracts and technology budgets.
Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Information Technology.
Management or supervisory experience required.
Education
High School Diploma required.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum seven years in IT) may be considered.
