This could be the role that you have been looking for to develop your current skills and learn new ones. Supportinga dedicated team of Trading Standards Officers to carry out enforcement work as part oftheir statutory functions on behalf ofthe Council.
About the Role
Working on a team alongside Trading Standards Officers providing them withsupport to carry out their role. The team covers the legislative areas of food standards feed animal welfare and weights & measures. You may be asked to support colleagues from other teams from time to time. You will need to show you can follow processes accurately logging information in accordance with the legislative framework surrounding the legal process.
You will be responsible for a wide and diverse range of duties such as sending out questionnaires to businesses responding to enquiries and guiding businesses through registration processes and referring to Trading Standards officers when appropriate. Alongside the administrative work you may respond to enquires and reported incidents received to the Service about businesses products and services and providing compliance advice and guidance via post or email. There are also practical tasks such as ensuring specialist equipment is maintained and available for officers to carry out their work.
