As a CAT Parts Sourcing Specialist youll manage end-to-end procurement functions validate supply constraints research alternative solutions and implement sourcing strategies to improve parts availability and reduce downtime for customers.
Job Description:
- Order parts from Caterpillar and non-Cat suppliers to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Monitor stock consolidate emergency orders and maintain accurate records.
- Expedite emergency orders considering vendor timelines transportation and costs.
- Investigate inventory issues and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with branches planners and supply chain teams to resolve constraints.
- Provide backup support during high-volume periods or absences.
- Ensure compliance with safety and company policies while representing Finning professionally.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Order parts from Caterpillar and non-Cat suppliers to meet customer delivery requirements.

Requirements:
- 3 years combined experience in either a post-secondary education in Operations Management Supply Chain related field or relevant job experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with heavy equipment is an asset.
- Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel) and experience with MRP systems (Lawson preferred).
Important:
- Based out of our Edmonton head office.
- Temporary full time role for 6 months.
- Monday Friday 5x2 schedule.
