Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher (Temporary Leave Replacement)
The Nightingale-Bamford School seeks a first grade homeroom teacher leave replacement from February 2026 through June 2026. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with first grade students and an eagerness and ability to collaborate with addition the candidate must demonstrate a strong interest in and understanding of child development possess excellent oral and written communication skills take initiative and display an innovative spirit. The candidate should be committed to applying an equity lens to their practice and driven to explore ways to reach all learners through differentiated instruction and student-centered practices. Finally the candidate must be fluent in the use of technology and well-versed in positive classroom management techniques and a variety of assessment methods.

SALARY RANGE (for a half year position)
In compliance with NYCs Pay Transparency Act the annualized base salary range for this position is $70000 - $85000. Nightingale considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education/training key skills internal peer equity as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
