Job Summary

As a Line Cook at Jump youll be an essential part of a tight-knit brigade committed to precision consistency and quality. Youll be responsible for executing dishes to exacting standards maintaining a clean and organized station and working collaboratively to deliver an exceptional dining experience service after service.  The Day to Day:

  • Execute daily food preparation and cooking tasks as directed by the Sous Chef Chef de Cuisine or General Manager
  • Cook and assemble dishes to exact recipe and presentation standards ensuring quality and consistency throughout service
  • Maintain a clean and organized station with an up-to-date prep list and proper stock of ingredients
  • Follow portion control guidelines and plating specifications with precision
  • Uphold freshness by practicing proper food rotation (FIFO) and clear labeling
  • Assist with receiving storing and organizing deliveries while maintaining food safety standards
  • Support kitchen inventory control by using and storing products responsibly
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of prep areas equipment and tools in compliance with health and safety guidelines
  • Adhere strictly to WHMIS MSDS and all workplace safety protocols
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth efficient service especially during high-volume periods
  • Take pride in the craft of cooking and contribute positively to kitchen morale and culture
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the overall success of the team

Qualifications :

  • 12 years of experience in a high-volume fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Advanced understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Able to spend 100% of the time standing.
  • Availability for evenings weekends and holidays
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
