In collaboration with the Director Crew Optimization and Management the incumbent is responsible for overseeing the Crew Scheduling Office and the Flight Hours & Credit department. This includes planning organizing and monitoring daily activities to ensure smooth operations and compliance with internal processes. The role requires strong organizational skills assertive leadership and the ability to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Crew Scheduling and Flight Hours & Credit teams ensuring effective implementation of operational strategies and resource-related projects.
- Supervise the organization compliance and efficiency of flight assignments in accordance with regulations and collective agreements.
- Oversee recruitment training scheduling and professional development of team members.
- Plan and facilitate regular team meetings to ensure cohesion information sharing and operational goal tracking.
- Collaborate with Operations Training HR and Safety departments to meet crew-specific needs.
- Manage flight assignments real-time adjustments and special allocations.
- Actively participate in working groups and committees related to flight operations and crew management.
- Coordinate with suppliers and partners to ensure smooth and efficient logistics.
- Enhance and maximize the use of crew scheduling and tracking systems (AIMS).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements in all scheduling and credit reconciliation activities.
- Provide mobilizing leadership and decision-making support especially during disruptions or peak periods.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to operational processes.
- Monitor industry best practices in crew management.
- Produce performance reports and key indicators to support management decisions.
- Support digital transformation and system optimization initiatives.
Qualifications :
- University or college degree in management aviation or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in crew scheduling within a CARs 705 or equivalent environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in team management supervision or coordination.
- Strong ability to interpret policies guidelines and regulations.
- Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office AIMS and Pelesys.
- Strong time and priority management skills with flexibility in work schedule.
- Oral and written fluency in French and English *
A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English both orally and in writing with colleagues customers and other stakeholders in Quebec the rest of Canada and internationally.
