Qualifications/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and moderate experience working as an administrative or clerical assistant or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Successful background check required.
Prefer knowledge of Skyward Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Exceptional skills in working with students parents staff members and the public along with excellent communication abilities including strong spelling and grammar. Demonstrates the ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries with students. Possesses general knowledge of office management techniques and equipment paired with a high level of structure organization and efficiency. Skilled in operating personal computer equipment and related office software with the ability to analyze and interpret policies and procedural guidelines. Exhibits advanced typing and word processing skills as well as positive and efficient telephone communication. Able to prepare effective correspondence on routine matters and perform office management tasks independently without the need for supervision. Maintains strong focus on tasks to bring them to quick and insightful conclusions. Demonstrates knowledge of school discipline processes and exhibits a high level of compassion and patience in all interactions.

Specific Tasks:
Monitor and respond to all student office voicemails and attendance-related emails in a timely manner. Work in the Student Office to take notes for attendance handle phone calls set up appointments for assistant principals answer questions and perform record-keeping services and other administrative assistant responsibilities in a responsive welcoming and respectful manner. Assist students with excusing absences providing passes and answering questions they may have. Manage and maintain records and reports related to department objectives using existing procedures and software. Follow up on attendance for full-day absences late arrivals and single-period absences. Edit coordinate and prepare reports or other printed materials according to established standards or readily available sources. Attend to student needs by assessing and inquiring to bring about a resolution. Enter update and delete student information in automated computer system databases. Assign and maintain all student locker records to ensure accurate and organized tracking throughout the school year. Retrieve records and files and create reports from student information system databases. Provide correspondence and other support for the Student Office Administrative Team. File information in the assistant principals student files and sign students out of the office as they leave appointments with the assistant principals. Correct attendance at the end of the day for students who have checked into school or returned from an appointment. Maintain confidentiality concerning all correspondence.
