About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Specialist in Noise and Vibration to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Specialist you will lead and oversee projects related to noise and vibration assessments monitoring and mitigation. The main focus is the design of vessels for compliance with stringent requirements pertaining the environmental footprint both over and under water.

The Role

  • Lead and manage noise and vibration assessment projects from initiation to completion ensuring adherence to project timelines budgets and quality standards.
  • Take leadership on the technical aspects of projects and delegate activities to younger engineers within the team
  • Support business manager on the development and execution of new services within LR which often requires multidisciplinary interaction
  • Conduct comprehensive noise and vibration surveys measurements and assessments using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.
  • Analyse data and prepare detailed technical reports including noise and vibration impact assessments predictions and mitigation recommendations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients project teams and stakeholders on noise and vibration control measures regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards regulations and technological advancements related to noise and vibration control from ships and marine traffic.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff fostering their professional development.
  • Participate in business development activities including proposal writing client meetings and presentations.

What you bring

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Acoustical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (at least 10 years) in noise and vibration assessment monitoring and mitigation in the marine and offshore sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of acoustics vibration analysis and related scientific principles.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard noise and vibration measurement equipment and software.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations standards and guidelines related to noise and vibration control.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated project management experience including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.

Applicants will be required to undergo preemployment testing including medical assessment.
