The Assistant/Associate Director of Family Engagement & Lifelong Learning plays a critical role in connecting and informing Denison families along with managing and facilitating lifelong connection opportunities for Denisonians of all life stages.
Family Engagement
Lead the family-focused communication strategy develop engaging family programming and oversee onboarding processes for incoming families to enhance their transition and connection to campus life
Coordinate engaging and impactful events that foster connections enhance the sense of belonging and accelerate onboarding for Denison families
Lead the planning and execution of Denisons annual Family Weekend including developing programming coordinating logistics and managing collaborative offerings with campus partners
Identify target locations and host 10 regional summer welcome receptions to accelerate the onboarding of Denison families
Recognize and celebrate Denison legacy families by organizing special events during Move-in Family Weekend Big Red Weekend/Homecoming and Commencement
Partner with Student Life to create and distribute family communications including a family calendar a monthly family newsletter and updated website content to ensure families are engaged and informed
Collaborate with campus partners to develop and launch a multi-part webinar series for incoming first-year families on the academic social and residential transition to Denison
Collaborate with Student Life and other campus partners on other key touchpoints for families including First-Year Move-in and Commencement
Partner with the Office of Admission to organize a communication strategy with campus departments to deliver a concise tailored communication experience for incoming families
Support student-athlete families in partnership with the Alumni & Family Engagement Affinity Team
Partner and collaborate regularly with the Family Philanthropy Leadership Team
Monitor the Denison Family Facebook Group
Lifelong Learning
Manage the strategy design and implementation of lifelong alumni engagement programs to engage alumni at every stage of their lives
Partner with faculty campus offices and alumni to create and curate a series of lifelong learning programs that are of interest and relevance to the Denison community
Provide continued operational strategy execution and support of lifelonglearning initiatives in-person and virtual
Partner with colleagues to identify and foster alumni engagement synergies acrossAdvancement and with campus partners (i.e. The Lisska Center Athletics Knowlton Center etc.)
Partner with Advancement Communications to ensure consistent relevant and timely communications for lifelong learning programs and events.
Coordinate travel program offerings open to alumni and families.

The Assistant/Associate Director of Family Engagement and Lifelong Learning is a member of the Engagement Programs team and plays an important role in successfully executing the strategic priorities for alumni and family engagement. The position is a member of the Office of Alumni and Family Engagement within the Division of Institutional Advancement.
Bring collegiality and generous support to the work of the full Alumni & Family Engagement team
Support Alumni & Family Engagement signature events throughout the year including Reunion Big Red Weekend ReMix and others
