Die-Cast Maintenance Assistant Associate

Position summary:
Support in all aspects for daily Die-Cast operations excluding welding. Responsibilities include but not limited to: troubleshooting PM activities repair “all types” production support machine downtime solutions machine efficiency improvements die rebuild component part rebuild work “all types” and all other die-cast support activities as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support any activities of Die Cast Maintenance Associate
- Work closely with die-cast members to complete job assignments in a timely manner
- Support production with planned/unplanned work activities as assigned
- Support all type of machine breakdown repairs including hydraulic mechanical pneumatics electrical
- Support die repairs die rebuilds troubleshooting and all other activities assigned
- Work directly with Die-Cast Maintenance Team Leader for die-cast downtime/efficiency improvements
- Participate in shift meeting and other meetings assigned
- Participate in all training activities as required to improve and master job duties assigned
- Perform robot recovery and support robot training activities when requested
- Support removal and installation of Die-Cast equipment
- Support new model activities as assigned
- Demonstrate good communication skills for shift pass down information including die-cast machine daily performance machine breakdown follow up
- All other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
- Education
- Technical High School Education or any combination of equivalent experience and education.
- Experience
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience utilizing team based problem solving techniques.
- Computer Skills
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Plex
- Personal/Other Skills
- Mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge mechanical systems.
- Strong trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly.
- Familiar with OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations.
- Must be self-starter who can work well with people at all levels while displaying a positive can-do approach/attitude.
- Understand technical drawings including hydraulic pneumatic mechanical and ladder logic.
- Knowledge of the work areas covered.
- Good time management skills and discipline to self-prioritize daily activities.
