Frederick MD site crucial to Thermo Fishers operation assisting 5 Business Groups and various Divisions.

Shift Information

Days /1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm (overtime as needed)

How Will You Make an Impact:

As a member of a manufacturing team the Manufacturing Operator ensures safe and timely production of life-saving products.

A Day in the Life:

  • Work within a manufacturing environment both individually and within a team to ensure customers receive a product that exceeds quality specifications.
  • Communicate with several work groups to ensure the completion of daily production.
  • Work in both standard and clean room environments while adhering to area-specific PPE requirements.
  • Safely operate manual and automated filling equipment.
  • Safely operate pallet jacks.
  • Handle and process materials that are in temperature sensitive conditions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • May be required to safely operate a 26 foot box truck and transit vehicle.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

  • 1 year of professional experience in a manufacturing operations production lab environment or a related industry preferred
  • Desired: Background in a cGMP setting

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the metric system and ability to perform conversions.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and cGMPs.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
  • Able to work in normal to extreme conditions: Ambient Cold Room (2-8F) Freezer (-20F) and Ultra Cold (-80F).

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $16.78$25.16.
