Tekberry is seeking an experienced and highly collaborative Instructional Designer II to support the development and execution of internal and external training initiatives for one of our clients. This role is responsible for partnering with stakeholders to assess training needs design and implement effective learning solutions and continuously improve training materials to enhance learner experience and operational success.

Position Summary

The Instructional Designer II will serve as a key contributor to the Training team acting as a subject matter expert for assigned projects. This individual will research training needs develop comprehensive training plans and design engaging learner-centered instructional content that enables intuitive self-service understanding and operational excellence. Training solutions will leverage best practices in instructional design and educational technology to support diverse learner styles and audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Training Design & Development

  • Create lead and administer customized training materials to support assigned projects empowering internal teams and external clients with the skills knowledge and resources required for effective self-service and operational support.
  • Design and develop curriculum course outlines and instructional plans that align learning objectives with organizational goals.
  • Organize content into logical learner-friendly sequences and provide strategies and resources to support successful learning outcomes.
  • Develop engaging and impactful learning strategies that account for learner characteristics learning styles and instructional delivery methods.
  • Integrate appropriate educational technologies and digital tools to support content authoring delivery and learning tracking.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Needs Assessment

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess training needs identify performance gaps and define learning requirements for assigned projects.
  • Serve as the Training team subject matter expert for assigned initiatives providing guidance answering questions and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders and subject matter experts regarding timelines milestones updates and feedback to ensure alignment with project and organizational goals.

Training Implementation & Maintenance

  • Implement internal and external training plans that maximize learner experience and promote intuitive effective self-service understanding.
  • Maintain revise and update all learning objects training sessions documentation records and reporting for assigned projects.
  • Provide ongoing knowledge support and content revisions as project needs evolve.

Assessment & Continuous Improvement

  • Design and incorporate assessment tools and evaluation methods to measure learner progress and training effectiveness.
  • Analyze feedback and performance data to refine curriculum learning strategies and materials to improve outcomes.
  • Support efficiency scalability and business success through continuous improvement initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties special projects or tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in instructional design curriculum development or training program development.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles adult learning theory and best practices in learning experience design.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Proficiency with educational technologies learning management systems (LMS) and digital content authoring tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects timelines and deliverables.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data and feedback to improve learning outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting both internal and external (client-facing) training programs.
  • Familiarity with blended learning approaches including self-paced virtual and instructor-led training.
  • Experience developing training in support of operational technical or customer-facing teams.
