Job Summary

Sales Coordinator

Fredericktown OH

JOB SUMMARY:

This person is responsible for managing customer relationships and driving sales initiatives with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers implementing and executing operational leadership in the Sales and Purchasing Group provided by the management in order to fulfill sales targets as set in business plan. This person also serves as contact person with customers and/or suppliers and interacts with customers and/or suppliers to develop and maintain strong relationships and resolves any conflict. This person serves as Document Control Representative. This person may recruit hire and train assigned associates assign and direct work and manage performance and discipline assigned associates if any.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with analyzing customer’s long-term forecast and develop a long-term plan.
  • Assist with trial-calculation of shipping quantities and expected sales.
  • Negotiate with customers on product prices.
  • Handle price adjustments with customers.
  • Assist with analyzing sales forecast with respect to capacity planning and material adjustments.
  • Analyze changes in design raw materials components manufacturing methods etc. to determine impact on product cost.
  • Assist with sourcing new sales opportunities.
  • Handle price adjustments with suppliers.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on raw material and component part prices
  • Support functions of the Material Services Department.
  • All other duties as assigned.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education

  • Associate degree or any combination of equivalent experience and education.

2. Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience within the automotive industry preferably with direct OEM or Tier 1 experience.
  • Experienced in people management and development

3. Computer Skills

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint

4. Personal/Other Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of the company’s policies products technology know-how and/or services including the engineering principles and specifications
  • Sound analytical and decision making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to multitask prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Organizational skills for efficient and effective job processing
  • Working knowledge/understanding of applicable trade laws and regulations

  • Professional manner to represent the company

5. Travel Requirement

  • Some travel required.
