Hybrid model: 2 days from home a week
Were looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Biller to join our clients Revenue Control team. This process-driven role is key to ensuring efficient accurate billing within a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Financial Administration

Manage end-to-end billing in line with firm policies and HMRC/SRA regulations.

Attend monthly WIP meetings and action related tasks.

Generate reports review post and distribute invoices.
-
Prepare edit and manage proformas and complex/composite invoices.
-
Process credit notes WIP/disbursement transfers and write-offs.
-
Maintain accurate billing data on client/matter files and liaise with Compliance for approvals.

Handle internal billing queries and support process improvements across the Finance team.

Provide cover for colleagues and assist with system/process transitions.
Operational Excellence
-
Prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines and resolve issues proactively.
-
Identify opportunities to improve billing efficiency and implement solutions.

Ensure compliance with AML and financial regulations.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with Fee Earners Secretaries and Finance teams to deliver a seamless billing service.

Support billing transitions from administrative teams to the Billing team.

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders especially Compliance.
About You

Experience: Previous billing experience in a law firm or professional services (Elite 3E and eBilling experience desirable).

Knowledge: Solid understanding of billing processes HMRC/SRA rules and financial procedures.

Skills:

Excellent communication and client service skills.
-
Strong attention to detail organisation and time management.
-
Confident with numbers and MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).

Able to work independently and under pressure.
